Background
While ride-hailing apps have evolved, local taxi stations are often left behind, still managing fleets through calls, notebooks, and guesswork.
Trafix is a SaaS platform designed to bring structure to this chaos. It streamlines how stations assign rides, track drivers, and communicate, without disrupting the way they already work.
Challenges
• Understanding real dispatcher workflows and pressure points
• Translating fast-paced operations into a clear digital flow
• Balancing control, speed, and simplicity in the UI
Overview
Trafix is a management platform built for independent taxi stations. It helps dispatchers assign rides, track drivers, and communicate faster—all in one place, with less chaos and more control.
Designed with real-world workflows in mind, Trafix brings clarity to high-pressure environments without slowing anyone down.
Problem Statment
Confusion in managing station operations
Taxi stations rely on disconnected phone calls, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp tools to handle ride assignments and driver coordination. This fragmented setup leads to delays, miscommunication, and constant stress during peak hours. Without a unified system, dispatchers struggle to stay organized and efficient.
Product Goal and Value
Simplify and support real-time operations  Trafix aims to streamline daily station workflows by offering a single platform for ride assignment, driver tracking, and communication. By replacing scattered tools with a focused system, it helps dispatchers move faster, reduce errors, and stay in control, especially when things get busy.
Research
User Perspectives on Trafix
To understand the real challenges inside taxi stations, I spoke with station managers and dispatchers from small independent fleets. The research highlighted common pain points: relying on memory, managing chaos through phone calls, and lacking real-time visibility. They expressed a strong need for a tool that simplifies assignments, centralizes driver data, and brings structure to their daily flow, without slowing them down.
Competitor Research
Competitors in the Market
Most existing tools in the market either focus on fleet tracking or external ride-hailing, not internal station operations. Dispatchers currently rely on a patchwork of WhatsApp, spreadsheets, and outdated local software. Unlike Trafix, none offer a clean, all-in-one platform built specifically for ride assignment, live driver management, and internal communication—the core of station workflow.
Design Phase
Aligning with operational clarity
Trafix needed a visual language that supports focus under pressure. I built a clean, modular design system that emphasizes hierarchy, speed, and control.
Each interface was refined through iteration, ensuring the design stays consistent with the platform’s core values—clarity, responsiveness, and ease of use for fast-paced environments.
Features

Control Center Bar
Where Ops Stay in Sync
From shift planning to license checks and fuel costs, the Control Center pulls everything into one view. No tabs. No clutter. Just seamless station control.

Live Map
See Everything, Always
Dispatchers shouldn’t have to guess. The live map gives real-time tracking of every driver, updated in seconds, so decisions happen faster, and stress stays low.

All in one view
Command Clarity
The interface brings clarity to high-pressure moments. A real-time Driver Status Bar shows who’s available, mid-ride, or on break—at a glance. The built-in Chat Window reduces friction with quick replies and ride alerts, replacing noisy calls. Incoming rides are displayed in a clean, prioritized queue, helping dispatchers act quickly and avoid missed pickups.
Results
Designed for Clarity, Built for Control
Trafix provides dispatchers and station managers a clear, unified workspace, reducing stress, streamlining ride assignments, and simplifying station operations. By solving real, everyday challenges, Trafix positions itself as an essential tool that transforms chaotic workflows into smooth, efficient processes.
